Privacy policy

Last updated: 10 October 2026

This policy explains how personal data is handled on noidea.games, the website of No Idea Games. Each of our games has its own privacy policy for the data processed inside the game:

Who we are

No Idea Games (also written No_idea Games) is the trading name of Tiago Costa, an individual developer based in Portugal, who is the controller of the personal data described here.

For anything about privacy, write to hello@noidea.games.

The short version

Server logs

When you visit the site, your browser sends the server some technical information, as it does with any website: your IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the page you came from and your browser and operating system (user agent). Our hosting provider keeps this information in server logs.

When you email us

If you write to us, for example through the Contact button, we receive your email address, your name if you include it and whatever you write.

Who receives the data

We don’t sell personal data and we don’t share it with advertisers. The only parties that process it, on our behalf, are:

They act as processors under contract and may only use the data to provide their service to us. If one of them processes data outside the European Economic Area, it does so under the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

The site links to stores and other websites, such as Google Play and Steam. When you follow those links, that website’s own privacy and cookie policies apply.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for access to your personal data, to correct or erase it, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, write to hello@noidea.games. We reply within one month.

You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), at www.cnpd.pt, or to the authority of the EU country where you live.

Children

This website is not directed at children and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from them. If you think a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If the way this website handles personal data changes, for example if we add analytics, we will update this page and the date at the top first. Any optional tracking would only be turned on with your consent.
