1. Controller and contact
Detonode is made by No_idea Games (No Idea Games), the trading name of Tiago Costa, an individual developer based in Portugal.
Privacy contact: hello@noidea.games.
2. Data stored on your device
The game saves your campaign progress (levels, stars, upgrades and stations), your Daily Abyss and Expedition results, your settings (language, sound, vibration and effects) and whether you bought No ads. Google’s consent tool also stores your advertising choices on the device.
There is no player account, and the game doesn’t upload this data. You can delete it by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling it.
3. No analytics of our own
Detonode doesn’t include analytics or crash-reporting tools. If you chose to share usage and diagnostics data with Google on your Android device, Google Play may give us aggregated crash and performance statistics (Android vitals), which don’t identify you.
4. Advertising and consent
The free version uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) to show:
- rewarded ads, only when you choose to watch one for a reward: an extra charge after losing a level, new upgrade options, or an extra Daily Abyss attempt;
- ads between levels, only after you have won 12 campaign levels, never in the first minutes of a session, at most once every few minutes, and never during a shot or in the Daily Abyss.
In the European Economic Area, the UK and wherever it is required, Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) asks for your consent on first launch, and the game doesn’t request ads until that step is done. When Google requires it, Settings → Ad privacy lets you review or change your choice at any time.
Depending on your region, choices and device settings, Google may process:
- your IP address and the approximate location inferred from it;
- your advertising ID, app set ID and other device identifiers, where permitted;
- ad impressions, taps, views and other interactions with ads;
- device, app and SDK information used for diagnostics and performance.
Google uses this information to show and measure ads, limit how often you see the same ad, prevent fraud and, if you agree, personalise ads. Where the law requires consent, for example to use your advertising ID for personalised ads in the EEA and UK, this only happens with the consent you give. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings. More information: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
5. No ads purchase
The game offers a one-time purchase, No ads, through Google Play Billing. It removes the ads between levels and gives rewards without watching an ad. Google Play processes the payment and sends the game the purchase status and a purchase token, so it can unlock and restore the purchase. We never receive your card or bank details. The game checks the purchase with Google Play at each start, so a refunded purchase stops working.
6. Sharing and sale
We don’t sell personal data. Advertising data is processed by Google and its advertising partners according to your consent choices and Google’s policies. Payments are processed by Google Play.
7. Retention
Data on your device stays until you delete it or uninstall the game. Advertising and purchase data is kept by Google under its own policies and your Google account and device settings. If you email us, we keep your message only as long as needed to reply.
8. Children
Detonode is designed for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict its processing, withdraw consent at any time and receive your data in a portable format. Write to hello@noidea.games. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (www.cnpd.pt), or to the authority where you live.
10. Changes
Material changes will update the effective date at the top and, where required, show a new in-game notice or consent request.
